CENTRE MÈDICO POBLENOU is a Driver Recognition Center (CRC) authorized by Department of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia, with the authorization number E-08012366, and for the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), with the authorization number B-0095, to make and issue certificates of psychophysical fitness to renew the different driving permits.
Since 2006 already no es necesario acudir a las oficinas de la DGT para renovar carnet de conducir en Barcelona.

¿CUANDO SE PUEDE RENOVAR EL CARNET DE CONDUCIR?
La DGT establece que esta permitido renovar el carnet de conducir en Barcelona durante los 3 months prior to the expiry date of your permit in force. El hecho de renovar el carnet de conducir antes de la fecha de caducidad no implica que se “pierdan” esos días de vigencia que has anticipado la renovación.
Por ejemplo, si tu permiso caduca el 01 de Abril de 2022 y acudes a nuestro centro el día 28 de Febrero de 2022, la próxima renovación de tu carnet de conducir también será un día 01 de Abril. No “se pierden” días por renovar el carnet de conducir con antelación a la fecha de caducidad.

How, when and where will I get my drivers license renewed?

Once 2 months have passed, counted since you came for the medical examination at our center, if you have not yet received your driver's license, you will have to contact us to communicate the situation.
We will handle your issue with the DGT and we'll keep you informed up to the resolution of the same.
This claim usually takes a week to resolve with a new temporary authorization being issued so you can continue driving for another three months. In this period, the DGT usually replies that we can pick up the permit at its offices (and we will take care of it), or informs that a new driver's license document is being sent to be produced. In this second case, it is not sent to the interested party but is delivered to us so that we can deliver your renewed driver's license to you.
